Dr. Humaira Ashraf is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Jinnah University for Women in Karachi. She completed her Ph.D. in Food Technology from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and is an HEC Approved Supervisor. Throughout her academic journey, she consistently received merit scholarships and was awarded a Gold Medal in her BSc. (Hons.). With six years of experience in teaching and research, she has expertise in food science and nutrition. She has co-authored an international book titled “Innovations in Plant Science for Better Health: From Soil to Fork Book Series” and contributed a chapter to it. She also serves as the Chief Editor of the “RADS Journal of Food Biosciences.” She has produced 9 M.Phil students. Her research focuses on designer foods, functional fat replacers, plant-based bioactives, antioxidants, and their health benefits. She has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and has taken on roles as an organizer and co-chair in these events. She has published multiple research articles in prestigious national and international journals, dedicating herself to advancing food science through her teaching and research.
